The Dandenong Cossacks Volleyball Club has a proud history as a competitive volleyball club in Victoria. The clubs main focus is the State League Competition, but it caters for all levels of interest, with men's, women's and junior teams.

All new players are welcome at the club.

The Dandenong Cossacks Volleyball Club was first formed in 1991 as a junior boy's team, purely as a social team to compete at a Geelong Volleyball tournamet. Founded by Stephen Kozulin, the boy's team continued to train after the tournament, and soon entered into the local volleyball lague EMVA (Eastern Metropolitan Volleyball Association). The club continued to play in this league for the next 16 years!

After a number of successful years in the local league, the Cossacks entered it's team into the top state competition - Victoria Volleyball State League. After the first few years of competition the club tasted success with Coach Nick Shashkoff in winning the men's Division 1 competition in 2006. This followed by an equally impressive men's Division 1 win in 2007. Back to back premierships!

The women's team has recently gained momentum with coach Abdel Raffass. In 2007, the women's team reached the state league finals for the first time! In early 2008, the team won the Warnambool tournament. In 2008 State League season, our men's team made its third grand fial in a row, coming in second.

Our women's team made its first ever grand-final and won! Our women's team are the premiers of State League Division 2 and were able to field two women's teams in 2009 - one Division 1 & Division 2 teams. Our club is growing.

In 2009, our Mens Division 2 team won the Grand-final in State League,   with a brilliant display of only one loss the whole season.  This was particularly impressive considering the young age of the players.
